What is the difference between a two piece toilet and a one piece toilet? The difference is easily noticed. Two piece toilets have a separate tank and bowl. One piece toilets are designed with an integrated tank and bowl.

How much water does it take to flush a toilet?
Toilets preceding 1993 use between 3.5 gallons per flush (gpf) up to 8 gpf. Since 1993 high efficiency modes have been mandated to use 1.6 gpf.

What if I already have a low flow toilet(1.6 Gal)?
SmarterFlush is designed to retrofit and upgrade the standard two piece tank with 1.6 GPF (Gallons Per Flush) or more. By using the half flush option, only half of the water in the tank is used for the flush.

Is it easy to install SmarterFlush?
The average homeowner who is able to follow the detailed illustrated instructions with common hand tools should easily complete the installation in 30 minutes. If there is any apprehension about the level of skill required, use of a licensed plumber is recommended.

Does SmarterFlush meet code requirements?
Most code requirements provide that approvals shall have been obtained from an accredited independent testing laboratory. SmarterFlush has met and or exceeded the standards set by leading independent testing laboratories, and has been approved as follows:

What kind of savings can I expect?
Savings will depend on the age of the toilet. For older toilets with a 5 gallon capacity tank, savings will be shocking! For any of the newer model tanks, say 3.5 or 1.6 gallon size, savings will be more than substantial. The exact amount of the savings will depend on the way you personally adjust your SmarterFlush when you install it. There are several adjustments which you can make to suit your needs. Does SmarterFlush work with pressure assisted or vacuum assisted toilets?
SmarterFlush is not compatible with these toilets.

Are SmarterFlush units individually tested?
Stringent performance testing is performed at the factory on each and every SmarterFlush before it is approved to be packaged for sale. Each unit is water tested for performance.

Is SmarterFlush guaranteed? SmarterFlush is guaranteed for five years. In addition, SmarterFlush may be returned for a refund at any time within 30 days from purchase if the consumer is not satisfied for any reason.

Does
